I absolutely love teaching 4th and 5th grade math. I want students to feel confident and comfortable when it comes to foundational math concepts. I break down math problems into parts that are understandable. Ultimately, my goal is to foster a positive attitude when it comes to math.

Online Tutoring
I tutor 4th and 5th grade students using word problems. I cover a wide range of math topics including decimals, fractions, area, and more. My goal is to get students ready for annual state testing at the end of the schoolyear.

Google Meet provides a practical, reliable platform for teaching lessons. If technical problems arise, Zoom may be used as an alternative.
What Happens During a Tutoring Session?
I typically present a word problem and explain step-by-step how to approach the problem. Then students complete a problem on their own to demonstrate their understanding of what they've learned.
Knowing timetables (multiplication facts) goes a long way in making each lesson effective. To avoid added stress to students and to make solving problems easier, please help your student memorize his/her multiplication facts before we begin working together. Time & Cost
Tutoring sessions are 45-minutes long. The cost of each 45-minute session is $45 (USD), payable through Paypal.
